More Jewish Teens, More Meaningful Jewish Experiences
-BBYO Mission Statement
BBYO
BBYO is a global, pluralistic Jewish youth movement. It's called a youth 'movement' because it isn't just a large group of Jewish teens that will become your lifelong friends. It's a widespread contribution to community service, a mass of future Jewish leaders lobbying for change, and a second home that fosters leadership in thousands of Jewish teens all over the world, giving way to the generation that will change the world. BBYO is how Jewish teens stay in touch with their religion, with programs like Shabbat services, Speak Up, and Summer Kallah.
Ilan Ramon BBYO #5378
Ilan Ramon BBYO #5378 is a chapter of BBYO that covers Oviedo, Winter Springs, Sanford, Lake Mary, Longwood, Apopka, and Winter Garden. We’re named after Ilan Ramon, the first Israeli in space, so our mascot is fittingly Buzz Lightyear, and our colors are green and purple. Our region, North Florida Region, stretches from Naples in the south to the Florida Panhandle in the North. We’re one of the few coed (BBYO) chapters in our region, instead of only guy (AZA) chapters or only girl (BBG) chapters. Every year Ilan Ramon gets together with 14 other chapters in the region for multiple regional events and conventions.
